At a distance of about 450 m. North of the Temple of Apollo hill on the northern slopes of Acrocorinth, excavated the shrine of Asklepios hospital, one of the most important shrines of the city, with a lifetime of more than 800 years. The choice of location is ideal because of the distance from the center of Corinth, the strong wind blowing in the area by cleaning the atmosphere, and of course because of the abundant water pumped from the nearby fountain of Lerna. In this position confirms the existence of an archaic, open shrine dedicated to the worship of Apollo, next to which was added on the 5th century BC half dedicated to his son Asclepius.
